Event: Fomula 1 Singapore - the world spectacular event

Do you know when was the first Formula 1 race held after the independence of Singapore? It was not the in the year of 2008, but way back in year 1966. The event was called Singapore Grand Prix and was held at the Thomson Road circuit. However, it was discontinued after 1973 because of various reasons, such as the rise of oil prices and accidents.

In 2008, Formula 1 was back in Singapore! It was the first ever night-time Formula 1 race. During the three days, the Marina Bay Street Circuit was vibrantly lit up by a series of projectors and it seemed no different from day time. Hundreds of thousands of tickets were made available including corporate hospitality suites, three-day passes and single-day passes. Paddock lifestyle area was set up for VIPs and exciting programmes and facilities were lined up for them. Also, merchandises could also be brought in the circuit for you to bring back for yourself or your love ones.

In Singapore Formula 1 race normally held in September and like other countries, it will be over the weekend, therefore, interested public can put down their work, school and projects temporarily and come down to relax and watch the fun-filled live show.

The first exhilarating night race ended with a roaring success and Singapore had proven that a small country like us could handle and host such a major world event. Singapore will keep improving and bring the best to the world.

Can’t wait to see your favourite F1 driver in action? Want to feel how it is like to watch a live F1 night race? Then come down to Singapore! Catch the great race right here in Singapore as our hospitality staff would be most willing to serve you and provide you with the best during your stay here.
